I don't really come here anymore. When I HAVE come here in the past few years one of the things I always hoped was to happen to be here at the same time as Imemine, or at the very least to find something of his in a forum that I could comment on, so we could have those months-in-between nonsense conversations; or to find some new music from him.

I was very sad tonight to hear that Roger has passed away. Very, very sad. I've been listening to his music and reading through his journals ever since. I am so sorry for his family. I'm also sorry that I didn't manage to keep in touch with him in some other way than here over the years. We met for lunch in 2005, around June. Fanch and I had beers and food with him in oldtown Gaithersburg. After some great conversation (the substance of which, for me at least, is already lost to time, though maybe Fanch's generally better memory will have something in there about it...) we walked across the street to a music store where he convinced me to buy a potato shaker. He may have even bought it for me. It's been a constant in my halaka-kit-of-horrible-noises ever since.

I'm really going to miss him.
